Thursday Dec 06, 2012
This show was dedicated to bullying and all aspects of it to include the Bully profile. We want to be sure that people know our radio program doesn't tolerate this behavior and we are trying to help build further awareness of how to get this to stop. Also, how parents need to be involved in helping to stop this ever growing problem, helping them to get educated as well as discussion about the program Lisa has to offer (see BIO of person who was on). Let me send you the bio of the person who was on and hopefully you can put enough copy together for this one.
About Tia Ross
Tia Ross is an educator, a writer and a dynamic inspirational, speaker who came from humble beginnings but decided at an early age not to allow her life circumstances to become a barrier to her success. Raised by a single mom in a drug-infested neighborhood ruled by gangs, prostitution, and poverty Tia became a teenage mother, but she never stopped pursuing her dreams. She used those experiences to strengthen her character and deepen her commitment to excellence. As a result she earned a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University and has committed her life to positively influencing youth and families within the juvenile justice system.
Tia has held positions with various organizations throughout San Diego, CA in which she developed, designed and supervised numerous programs for inner city teens.
Because Tia she has a personal understanding of what it takes to move through and overcome difficulties, she brings deep levels of sensitivity, compassion, and wisdom to her work.
As a Certified Master Facilitator for Motivating the Teen Spirit (a Lisa Nichol’s company), she teaches teens how to fall in love with themselves, communicate effectively, and make integrity-based decisions. And as the Director of the Facilitator Empowerment Program for Motivating the Teen Spirit, she supports and trains adults to facilitate the Safe Space workshops. Through her work, she has impacted the lives of thousands of teen and adults, teaching them how to become powerful leaders through integrity-based decision-making, effective communication, and community involvement.
