The Fitness Stalker is BACK!
Wednesday Jan 22, 2014
Wednesday Jan 22, 2014
"Would you rather..." great game to play when you are feeling down.
Head lice or root canal? Depends on your experience.
Oh good grief. Asking Raquel and Bryan about who is performing at the Super Bowl. Thank goodness Wes can look it up on the fly.
What got her interested in fitness? Believe it or not, "Flashdance" did it. Having two children when she was older gave her huge motivation to set the example and so that she can be around as long as possible to harass her children. She worked hard to get the life she has - "boo boo" starts when she was younger and now she has her forever life.
Bryan wants you to go to her Facebook page and check HER OUT and follow/like her. She posts great recipes that will keep you on track and still allow you to incorporate "favorite" foods.
Reinvent your favorite recipes. You'll get used to eating without as much fat, sugar and salt. You will retrain your taste buds - really - you won't miss it. You'll actually find the processed foods taste very ... well.. processed and will bother your system more than it used to. Your body will reject it.
Don't get Raquel talking about soda! OH MY!

FIA Discussion: Fixed Indexed Annuities
Wednesday Jan 15, 2014
Wednesday Jan 15, 2014
Mary Montiel and Michelle Montiel Zafiropulous joined Bryan and Angie to talk about FIAs - Fixed Indexed Annuitites. Don't know what they are? They give you the best of both worlds:
Consistent, money is always coming in unless they market falls apart, but then it just stays where it was, you don't lose previous earnings, etc.
When variable index goes up and down you can only grow when it goes up, but doesn't go down.
Bryan is NOT into risks. 2008 was horrible as we all watched people losing their homes, retirements - 3.8 trillion were lost in retirement plans. Perhaps FIA didn't pay during that time, but they didn't go down! Those folks were safe.
Mary and Michelle advise that you get into discussions with your children to get them into a pattern of saving early. You have to model the behavior for it to really stick. Doesn't hurt to speak frankly about preparing for the future.
They have a great product.Great product with 10% bonus!
They work with financial planners, or directly with the consumer. They will give you a complimentary review. Not all planners do this, but each has their own approach - no right or wrong, just have to be a match for you.

Marysol Patton Returns to Real Housewives of Maimi
Wednesday Nov 20, 2013
Wednesday Nov 20, 2013
Today’s show included special guest Marysol Patton from The Patton Group and Real Housewives of Miami. Marysol is an extremely successful and high profile Miami entrepreneur and reality TV star that shared what it is like being on a high profile show and how grateful she is for her large fan base that has supported her throughout the years since the show first aired.
Marysol was open, kind and extremely forthright on what it’s like being on a Reality TV show and how she balances life with that variable being a constant in her life. As a new friend of the Big Daddy Radio show and someone that Bryan admires, Marysol showed her true personality by being open about what it is like working with a “festive” cast and how she continues to maintain a strong friendship with Alexia which well transcends the show.
Marysol runs a successful business in Miami and has been a high profile member of Miami society for many years and continues to treat her staff like a “sisterhood”. She is a rare gem, well put together and an overall beautiful person inside and out. How lucky we were that she carved time out for us and will be doing so in the future.

October 23: Marci Bair Talks About Affordable Health Care Evaluations
Thursday Oct 24, 2013
Thursday Oct 24, 2013
Joining the show was Financial Planner Extraordinaire Marci Bair who holds the highest license designation for Financial Planners. She is also very verse in matters pertaining to health insurance and is one of a handful of agents who have undertaken the arduous task of being certified to offer the Affordable Health Care (also commonly and erroneously referred to as Obamacare). Marci explained to our listeners about the facets of this new government program and the fact that it is still a work in progress.
The week ending October 19th (literally a one week period) showed that the website for Affordable Health Care had 500,000 unique visitors as well as 45,000 calls to the service center.
This is an excellent gauge of how many people are in need of assistance with skyrocketing health care and how many people don’t actually have health care. We have seen so many people who have come to us to list their house on a short sale or traditional basis if there is equity simply because they cannot afford the house due to some disastrous medical condition.
A visit to the emergency room alone can set someone back $3,000.00 and therefore, it is now more important than ever that folks have health insurance.
Marci is one of a few certified agents that can actually write and evaluate within this exchange. You can contact Marci by sending an email through our website or contact her directly at www.bairfinancial.com.
The application alone is 27 pages and so it is not a task for the faint of heart. It is long and inclusive of information that may be confusing to people as well as employers who may be looking to get tax credits for offering insurance to their employees. Let’s just say it is a complex maze that requires an expert and Marci is that gal!!

October 9: Why should we be paying for your LAZINESS? You are sucking us all dry.
Wednesday Oct 09, 2013
Wednesday Oct 09, 2013
We had a guest author scheduled, Alan Sheehan. He decided not to join us. Wonder if Bryan’s strong feelings about the abuse of the existing disability and state-funding systems could have had something to do with it? He was going to try to convince us that everyone should be guaranteed an income – REALLY? Don’t we have enough people abusing the system and draining the government – meaning WE THE TAXPAYERS?!
Angie was out sick. So, the show was Wes Shaw of RMP Mortgage and Bryan. They discussed the fact that social security disability is being depleted and how people are seeking this as a source of income because their unemployment is running out as well as Real Estate and lending issues. They really covered the fact that people need to be working with an agent who understands the in’s and out’s of getting a house sold, understands the seller’s unique needs and how much you have to be on top of it in order to qualify for financing, especially in this market. If you are in need of what is considered a jumbo loan (anything over $546,250 conventional basis and $697,500 FHA). It was not a session where Bryan was tearing into the people who deserve the social security disability; but those who abuse that the system thinking that the rest of us should subsidize their laziness. The fact is our own government cannot even rectify its budget so what are we going to do as people continue to age and these programs run out of money etc..for those who REALLY need it?

Amy was BACK in the studio with us. It’s the first time Bryan has liked Country – propbably becuase she’s a bit of a crossover, so darn beautiful inside and out and a lot of fun to spend time with — OH and she’s SO talented!
Amy played today in studio with her band as the prepare for a benefit concert.
A bit about Amy:
Raised in San Dimas California, Amy has been singing since the age of three. Mother of 4, she finally lived out her dream that has always been rooted in country music. While in Nashville, Amy caught the attention of many industry professionals for her powerful vocals and passion for supporting our troops. She has overcome tremendous circumstances and obstacles and now uses that to bring hope and encouragement through her music. Amy’s Patriotism shines through in her known traditional version of the National Anthem. In 2011 Amy was chosen to perform the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. Amy performed at Dodger Stadium at the request of the United States Army, Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion.
Since 2008, Amy has opened for many country music greats including; Trace Adkins, Clint Black, Charlie Daniels, Little Texas, Hal Katchum, Phil Vassar, Josh Gracin and others. Amy’s single “Coming Home” written by Dave Adams and produced by Paul McKenna is a celebration song for our heroes. Amy was officially endorsed by the American Veterans (AMVETS) Service Foundation for California from 2009 through 2011. At the beginning of 2010 Amy decided to set aside touring and dedicate her musical talents completely to the Veterans and Troops for all her performances. Amy’s oldest son, Ryan Scruggs, stepped into lead guitar in 2011 and shared the stage and dream with her by performing alongside her. Ryan is also credited with writing much of their new music.
